The farm is a socially responsible company established in 1998. It has transformed 80 acres of a conventional monoculture coconut and rubber plantation into a multipurpose operation with factories, bio diversity and products,such as organic teas, coconut oil, spices and Eco-tourism. It expanded the number of jobs for farmers from 8 to 50 in a district with high unemployment while supporting community development. From this emerged Srina Tea – a unique and profitable Organic Tea company that has spanned the globe and whose sought-after teas have landed in numerous boardrooms such as those of America’s fortune 500.
