Worldview Development USA is a New York-based nonprofit that brings people together to support healthier communities and a more resilient environment. We call this our Global Village: a network of donors, businesses, educators, public institutions, and local partners working across borders on shared challenges.
Our work connects conservation and climate action with food and health equity, education, and sustainable economic opportunity. In Panama, we are helping advance the groundwork for mangrove restoration and coastal resilience.
Trees for Life is our Worldview Development USA initiative focused on executive climate education, mangrove restoration, and sustainable economic development.

We collaborate with partners, including Worldview International Foundation (WIF), a global NGO with more than four decades of experience in development projects in over 26 countries, and Worldview Las Americas, which leads mangrove restoration and community development in Panama.

Why mangroves matter ?
Mangroves are coastal forests that buffer shorelines from storms and erosion, support fisheries and the communities that depend on them, and store carbon. They are central to our work in Panama.
Natural protection. Their tangled roots slow waves and trap sediment, which helps shield homes, roads, and farmland from storm surge and shoreline erosion.
Food and livelihoods. Mangroves shelter young fish, crabs, and shrimp, so healthy forests support the fisheries that coastal families rely on for food and income.
Climate action. They store carbon in their trees and soil, which is why mangrove restoration is a focus of climate action.
People at the center. Restoration lasts when the people who live beside mangroves benefit from them. That is why our work in Panama starts with the groundwork for restoration and the needs of nearby communities.
