Where grassroots communication and technology changes the course of history

 

Very active in support of democracy and human rights in Myanmar, Worldview International initiated Democratic Voice of Burma in 1992 as a short-wave radio broadcaster, on request by Aung San Suu Kyi after receiving the Nobel Prize Award in 1991. This initiative has grown to a large international media group due to skillful efforts by young Burmese activists.  Worldview also supported the Exile Government and other democratic forces with access to the United Nations on Worldviews quota as a UN consultative member in ECOSOC
